The Afro-Latino Festival is our first celebration of diversity and inclusion of Africans and Latinos that shaped Santa Clara County and surrounding areas since 1777. Come and enjoy the food, entertainment, and celebration. The Afro-Latino Festival was made possible in part by the grant from the County of Santa Clara’s Historic Grant Program.

KWANZA CELEBRATION
The African American Heritage House will be celebrating Kwanza at the First AME Church, 95 South 20th Street, San Jose, CA 95116. Featuring African drummers, African vendors and light refreshments.

Fantasy of Lights 2024 - Walk-Thru
Celebrate 11 years of walk-thru festivities as you stroll through large, animated displays in a beautiful County Park. The Fantasy of Lights Walk-thru has become a cherished holiday tradition, bigger, better, and brighter than ever. Juneteenth Celebration
The African American Community Service Agency will be celebrating Juneteenth and Heritage House will be participating. Come by and see us in our information booth.

May Event
The African American Heritage House and La Raza will be celebrating the Afro-Latino community in Santa Clara and surrounding areas. Since the late 1800s. The date of the joint celebration is yet to be determined.

History House Exhibit
The African American Heritage House will have an exhibit in the History House Hotel Valley Memories Collection for the first part of 2024 until June 2024. The Display depicts the first Church exclusively for African Americans, founded in 1892. Artifacts donated by Queen Ann Canon, historian and podcaster, and Jan Adkins, Author, and educator, are included in the display.
